Grant Beare

Grant Beare was born in Ventura, California but when the family moved south to close to the Mexican border the young Grant found himself speaking Spanish as readily as English. Travelling from time to time through Mexico as a teenager he decided that this was indeed a land of opportunity and at 18 relocated to northern Mexico. Initially establishing and operating a motor cycle hire company he quickly discovered a niche in helping non Spanish speakers with all sorts of business transactions. This, coupled with his natural inclination towards a customer focused environment, led to Grant becoming involved in Real Estate sales. In 2003 he became one of the first members of the embryonic AMPI (the Mexican Professional Real Estate Organization).
Having been recruited by Platinum Yucatan Resorts SA de CV (the owners of Flamingo Lakes) Grant and his wife Gema relocated to Merida. Both have travelled extensively throughout Mexico but quickly fell in love with the charms of the Yucatan capital. As well as being a beautiful city steeped in history and culture, it also offers 21st century comforts and excellent facilities not least of which is the world class and inexpensive medical provision.
